Leonardo Husid brings diverse international experience in law and business. After obtaining his law degree from a top university in Brazil, he became a legal consultant for engineering and project management companies involved in complex construction and real estate development projects. He then spent nine years in Canada, where he acted as owner’s representative and project manager for a venture involving $100+ million in construction work, $60+ million in transfer of assets, and was also responsible for risk management and loss exposure control. Before joining the firm, Leonardo worked for one of the largest elevator companies in the world, where he gained experience in various phases of the construction lifecycle: from technical specifications and bidding on public/private tenders and RFPs, to the negotiation and execution of contracts in multiple Canadian provinces.
Leonardo recently earned his Masters in Law degree (LL.M.) with concentration in business and corporate law from the University of San Diego, where he graduated magna cum laude and received the Dean’s Comparative Law Award as the top of his program. He also possesses a Certificate in Risk Management from the University of Toronto. He is admitted to the State Bar of California.
